Manuscript Submission Form

Ark House is happy to accept unsolicited manuscripts from new and established authors.

Please read all specifications and requirements carefully so that the assessment process of your manuscript will not be held up. Please note that if guidelines are not followed your manuscript will be returned to you and we will await the re-submission of the completed specifications and requirements before we begin assessment.

Submitting manuscripts:

• Our review policy

• Ark House receives hundreds of manuscripts of which we publish about 2%.
• Ark House will not provide feedback on your manuscript should we decide not to publish it.
• Please allow Ark House 3-6 months to provide you with an answer on your manuscript.

How to submit your manuscript

 Ark House requires:

1. A hard copy of the manuscript.
2. A CD Rom of the manuscript.
3. A hard copy of the completed submission form.

* Please note that all manuscripts must have been through at least one edit by a professional editor before submission. Ark House will be responsible for proof reading of the work if accepted for publishing, but all editing/sub-editing requirements will be the responsibility of the author. We expect that all manuscripts will be written with correct grammar, punctuation and above average writing skills. If you require your manuscript to be re-written we can put you in touch with ghost writers who are trained and professional writers. 

• Making your manuscript presentable

To begin the review process, Ark House requires that the hard copy be presented in the following way.

- Manuscripts must be a minimum of 40,000 words

- text size: 12pt
- font: Times New Roman
- spacing: 1 ½ to double line spacing
- justified: fully justified

Waiting time:

Please allow between 3-6 months for communication from us. Our main form of communication will be via email or snail mail.

Success Rate:

Due to the high volume of manuscripts we receive, generally only 2% of manuscripts will be selected for publishing. Please note that if your manuscript is selected for publishing we will contact you via phone or email. If not selected, we do not return CD ROMs or hard copies. Accordingly please make sure you retain a copy of your own.

If your manuscript is not going to be published, please note that we do not provide feedback as to why a decision was made not to proceed. This is simply due to the volume of manuscripts we receive.
