Only the beginning...
Ark House is fastly becoming one of the Southern Hemisphere’s largest Christian publishing companies. With new and exciting authors signing on there is no sign of slowing down. The second half of 2007 will be exciting with authors such as David Hart (Pro Hart's Biography) and Peter Irvine (Co-Founder of Gloria Jeans) releasing new titles.
Not only is Ark House becoming a household name in the Christian market but the secular market is also starting to pay attention. By the end of 2007 we will have 18 titles in mainstream stores, including Dymocks and Angus & Rosbertson. With a passion to see Christian authors and books become a prominent part of every book store we endeavour to release more relevant titles in the future.
Naturally with such growth we are expanding into the international market. Already having a large presence in New Zealand and Singapore, alliances are being put in place to supply and distribute to the UK. 2008 will see Ark House begin marketing throughout the UK, with a team on the ground in England. We are expecting the same success as here in Australia.
Ark House branching into Fiction
With successful fiction titles such as The Waterdogs Series and Helena now under our belt we will be taking Christian Fiction to a whole new level. No Eye Has Seen and Enslaved to Freedom are just a couple of titles in work for release late 2007. We believe there is a need in not only the Christian market but also the mainstream market for quality fiction with a message of faith and hope.
Blessed to be a blessing
With the huge success of Ark House we are very aware of the blessings, but also the mandate placed upon us. We are able to take greater financial risks on manuscripts that will serve as a tool to minister to those in desperate circumstances. Titles such as Hungry for Life, which deals with the very real issue of eating disorders and allows a God perspective on healing and restoration, is one. We have several manuscripts in the pipeline that will present much-needed information on topics that range from drug addiction and mental illness to self-harm. We believe that Ark House is not only a publishing company but also a ministry in which we can help reach, grow and heal people, also introducing them to the kingdom of God.
