This is a story of heartbreak, regret and ultimate restoration. In her teens, Susan Bridgette experienced a sequence of events that ended in her making the worst decision of her life. Feeling trapped with no-where to turn she underwent an abortion, which impacted her in ways she could never have imagined. For forty years she carried her painful secret, with guilt and grief etched deep within her heart.
Throughout the author’s journey, she shares how at times she felt like God had turned His back on her and was punishing her. She also questioned whether the world would be better off without her and if God could ever forgive her for the sins of her youth.
Susan shows courage and vulnerability as she shares her personal journey, describing how God, in His faithfulness, answered her desperate cries for help. These encounters brought healing where she was finally able to let go and forgive herself for her past.
This powerful story brings a message of hope, that no matter how great or small our mistakes are, God is a God of Unconditional Love. He is waiting to forgive, heal and restore.
