About the authors:
Michelle Jorna has over 10 years experience in the health and fitness industry, personal training and health behavioural research. Holding a Bachelor of Applied Science (Human movement, nutrition major) and a Masters degree in Public Health, Michelle also has qualifications in Personal Training and group exercise instruction. Michelle has worked in many areas of health research, personal training, lecturing in physical activity and nutrition, and has worked as a Research Fellow at Deakin University in the Centre for Physical Activity and Nutrition Research, and at the Baker IDI Heart and Diabetes Institute.
Michelle has a passion for empowering women to be effective in improving their physical, mental and spiritual health while seeking to achieve God’s purpose in life. She lives in Melbourne with her husband and three boys.
Elizabeth Hughes has worked in the health care industry as a nurse for more than 30 years both in Australia and the United States. She has a Bachelors of Nursing degree from RMIT, Melbourne. She has worked in many areas of health care and is currently in a local community hospital working in Day Procedure and Endoscopy as a Clinical Nurse Specialist and is part of the Peer Debriefing Team. The holistic health concept in this book grew out of her work in the Woman to Woman Careforce Lifekeys program and her passion to assist women in their life journey – Body, Soul and Spirit. She lives in Melbourne with her husband, has three children and two grandchildren.
